Duties
- Safely operate delivery vans to transport goods to designated locations, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations
- Plan efficient delivery routes to maximize productivity and meet delivery deadlines
- Load and unload cargo, often involving heavy lifting, with proper handling techniques to ensure safety
- Communicate clearly with dispatchers, customers, and team members to confirm delivery details and resolve any issues promptly
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections before and after trips to ensure optimal performance and safety standards are maintained
- Maintain accurate delivery logs, documentation, and records of all shipments and deliveries
- Assist in warehouse activities when necessary, including inventory management and stock organization
Requirements
- Proven experience as a delivery driver or in a similar driving role, preferably with commercial driving experience
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; <PERSON> driver certification preferred
- Experience operating delivery vans or similar vehicles in busy environments
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently during loading and unloading processes
- Strong communication skills to interact professionally with customers and team members
- Knowledge of local traffic laws, navigation tools, and route planning techniques
- Warehouse experience is a plus for handling inventory-related tasks effectively
