Haringey Council is in search of a seasoned Curriculum Manager to oversee the ESOL (English for Speakers of Other Languages) curriculum within Haringey Learns. This pivotal role involves providing both strategic and operational leadership to ensure the effective planning, delivery, and quality assurance of adult learning programs. The successful candidate will lead curriculum staff, enhance teaching and learning standards, boost learner success and progression, and ensure alignment with funding criteria, organizational goals, and community needs.

Oversee the ESOL curriculum to ensure high-quality teaching, learning, and assessment.

Design and implement curriculum plans that meet learner needs and align with strategic goals.

Foster continuous improvement in learner success, retention, and satisfaction.

Develop new courses and learning opportunities based on local demand.

Lead and support Senior Tutors, Permanent Tutors, and Associate Tutors.

Conduct recruitment, induction, supervision, appraisals, and performance management.

Monitor teaching standards to maintain excellence across programs.

Encourage staff development and a culture of excellence.

Track curriculum performance and learner outcomes.

Analyze data on recruitment, retention, achievement, and progression.

Contribute to self-assessment reports and quality improvement plans.

Use performance data to identify and implement improvement actions.

Cultivate relationships with employers, community organizations, awarding bodies, and partners.

Represent the service at meetings, forums, and stakeholder events.

Enhance learner engagement and progression through partnerships.

Ensure adherence to funding body and awarding organization requirements.

Requirements:

Extensive experience in managing adult learning, further education, or ESOL programs.

Proven track record in curriculum development and quality improvement.

Experience in managing and supporting teaching staff.

Strong knowledge of adult learning funding and performance metrics.

Proficiency in monitoring achievement, retention, and quality indicators.

Exceptional leadership, organizational, and people management skills.

Strong analytical and reporting capabilities.

Excellent stakeholder management and partnership experience.

Dedication to safeguarding, equality, diversity, and inclusion.

Relevant teaching and/or education qualification.

Proof of qualifications required.

Experience in Local Authority Adult Learning Services.

Familiarity with Ofsted and inspection frameworks.
