We are seeking a motivated and reliable Warehouse Operative to join our dynamic logistics team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in the efficient handling, storage, and dispatch of goods within our warehouse environment. Responsibilities
- Handling materials efficiently using appropriate equipment and techniques
- Operating forklifts and other warehouse machinery safely and effectively
- Managing stock levels through accurate picking, packing, and stock replenishment
- Assisting with shipping and receiving processes to ensure timely dispatch and receipt of goods
- Utilising warehouse management systems to track inventory movements and update records
- Conducting quality control checks to ensure products meet company standards
- Loading and unloading lorries or containers with care and precision
- Maintaining a clean, organised, and safe warehouse environment at all times
- Supporting stock organisation through stocking tasks and inventory audits
- Performing mechanical checks on equipment as required to ensure operational safety
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a warehouse environment is preferred but not essential; training will be provided
- Knowledge of materials handling techniques and warehouse management systems is advantageous
- Valid forklift licence is desirable but not mandatory; training can be provided for suitable candidates
- Physical fitness to perform heavy lifting and manual handling tasks safely
- Mechanical knowledge or experience with warehouse machinery is a plus
- Strong organisational skills with attention to detail for stock accuracy and quality control
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Good communication skills to follow instructions clearly and report issues promptly
