What You’ll Be Doing
We are seeking an enthusiastic, self-motivated, and passionate Assistant Coach to support the delivery of the Leeds United Girls Academy Foundation Phase programme (U11s–U12s).
You will play a key role in supporting the development of young female footballers, helping to deliver high-quality coaching sessions in line with the Academy philosophy while creating a positive, safe, and enjoyable environment for all players.
Key Responsibilities:
Support the delivery of high-quality coaching sessions aligned to the Leeds United Girls Academy playing philosophy.
Assist with the implementation of the Academy training and games programme.
Ensure the welfare and safeguarding of all players within the Girls Academy environment.
Support player development through observation, feedback, and player reviews.
Assist with maintaining Individual Development Plans (IDPs) and player development records.
Complete and support administrative duties, including registers, risk assessments, health & safety checks, and safeguarding documentation.
Provide verbal and written feedback and reports when requested.
Attend fixtures, meetings, and development events as required.
Promote the values, vision, and objectives of Leeds United Foundation and the Girls Academy.
Build positive relationships with players, parents, colleagues, and stakeholders.
Maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times.
Ensure coaching equipment is safe, well-maintained, and used appropriately.
Support safeguarding, equality, diversity, and inclusion across all Academy activities.
Undertake any additional duties required to support the successful operation of the Girls Academy.
What We’re Looking For
You’ll have:
UEFA C Licence.
FA First Aid Qualification.
FA Safeguarding Children Certificate.
Eligibility to pass an Enhanced DBS check.
Excellent knowledge and understanding of safeguarding and child protection practices.
Own transport and the ability to travel to training and fixtures.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a coaching team.
A passion for women’s and girls’ football.
Experience
Experience coaching girls’ football.
Experience supporting the delivery of football coaching sessions.
Experience working with children and young people within a football or sporting environment.
Experience working within a team-based coaching environment.
Experience supporting player development and progression.
