Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Marine Manager to oversee the operations and maintenance of our vessels. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of marine operations, oversee the day to day operation of the vessels, manage crew, and have responsibility for compliance with statutory and maritime regulations. This role is crucial in ensuring the safety, efficiency, and quality of our marine services while leading a team of skilled professionals.
Key features of the role:
- Working closely with crew members, to ensure vessels are suitably manned at all times
- Ensuring vessels are fully ready for service, in all aspects
- Promoting safety on board vessels
- Carrying out safety audits
- Managing inspection and audit dates
- DPA responsibilities
- Developing on existing work contracts and generating new clients
- Assisting HR with crew recruitment and other employee relations
Experience
- Proven experience in a marine management role or similar position within the maritime industry would be an advantage.
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team effectively.
- Familiarity with maritime regulations and safety standards is essential.
- DPA and ISM Lead Auditor qualifications.
Travel and overnight stays will be a part of this role.
