Hostel Concierge
Location: Redcar, North Yorkshire
Salary: Above national minimum wage plus sleep-over allowance
Reporting to: Coatham House CEO
Hours: Shift-based role operating across a 24-hour service, 7 days a week, including weekends and bank holidays. Contracted hours to be confirmed.

Coatham House is a well-established charity providing accommodation, support, and training services to homeless and vulnerable young people across the borough of Redcar. We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Hostel Concierge to join our team and help maintain a safe, secure, and supportive environment for our residents.
This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about supporting young people and making a positive difference within their community.
The Role
As a Hostel Concierge, you will play a key role in the day-to-day operation of our hostel, ensuring residents feel safe, supported, and respected. You will help maintain the building, monitor resident welfare, and contribute to the smooth running of the service.

Person specification – Concierge
Essential
· Experience of working in a supported housing residential setting.
· Experience of working with young people with support needs.
· An understanding of support planning and risk assessments.
· Knowledge of safeguarding vulnerable people.
· Ability to use and act on own initiative.
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
· Able to prepare clear and concise reports.
· Good organisational skills and able to plan work effectively.
· Able to work effectively with a range of partners and agencies.
· Able to contribute positively and constructively to service reviews.
· Good computer skills.
· Commitment to Equal Opportunities and valuing diversity.
· Commitment to continual improvement in service delivery.
· Willing to work evening and weekends as per shift pattern.
Desirable
· An understanding of support planning and risk assessments.

Pay: £24,420.00-£44,706.87 per year
