We're looking for an enthusiastic Course Instructor to join our growing training team. This is an exciting opportunity to deliver high-quality First Aid, Lifeguarding and Water Safety training in one of Oxford's leading sporting environments, while playing a key role in expanding our training provision.

About the Role
Based primarily at the Iffley Road Sports Complex, you'll deliver a range of accredited and internal training programmes, including:
- First Aid at Work (FAW)
- Emergency First Aid at Work (EFAW)
- Outdoor First Aid
- National Pool Lifeguard Qualification (NPLQ)
- Water Safety Awareness training
Working with learners from a variety of backgrounds and experience levels, you'll create engaging, practical learning experiences that inspire confidence and competence. This is currently a part-time position with genuine potential to develop into a full-time role as our training programme continues to grow. For the successful candidate, there will also be opportunities to expand the portfolio of courses delivered through additional qualifications and professional development.
What you'll be doing
- Delivering accredited first aid, lifeguarding and water safety courses to a consistently high standard.
- Supporting the continued growth and success of our training programme.
- Managing course administration and ensuring compliance with awarding body requirements.
- Maintaining training equipment and resources.
- Conducting internal quality assurance activities and supporting external audits.
- Working closely with reception, finance and management teams to ensure an excellent learner experience.
- Identifying opportunities to increase participation and course bookings.
- Supporting the delivery and coordination of additional training programmes as they develop.
About You
- Level 3 Trainer Assessor qualification for Lifeguarding
- Level 3 First Aid Trainer Assessor qualification
- Valid National Pool Lifeguard Qualification (NPLQ)
- Valid First Aid at Work qualification
- Level 3 Award in Education and Training (or equivalent)
- Experience working within a leisure, sports or training environment
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work independently and use initiative
- Willingness to travel to other sites when required
