Full description
DHÖM is an independent premium brunch and bistro on Darkes Lane in Potters Bar. Speciality coffee and matcha are an important part of our guest experience, alongside our brunch, Mediterranean-influenced food and evening drinks offer.
We are looking for two baristas to join our team on a full-time or part-time basis.
Some hands-on barista experience is required, but we are happy to consider someone with limited experience who has the right attitude, takes feedback well and is committed to further training.
Responsibilities
- Prepare espresso-based drinks, tea, matcha and other hot and cold drinks to specification.
- Texture milk consistently and work towards confident drink presentation and latte art.
- Set up, clean and maintain the coffee station and equipment correctly.
- Work efficiently through busy breakfast and brunch periods without losing accuracy.
- Take orders and process them correctly through the EPOS system.
- Communicate warmly and professionally with guests.
- Monitor stock, rotate products and report shortages or equipment problems.
- Support clearing, cleaning and wider front-of-house service when required.
What we are looking for
- Some practical barista experience in a café, restaurant or similar environment.
- A genuine interest in coffee, matcha and consistent drink preparation.
- A friendly, calm and organised approach during busy service.
- Reliable availability, including a fair share of weekend shifts.
- Good hygiene and attention to detail.
- Willingness to follow exact recipes and learn from practical coaching.
- Ability to travel reliably to Potters Bar for scheduled shifts.
What we offer
- £13.25-£14.00 per hour, depending on practical experience and demonstrated capability.
- Full-time and part-time opportunities across a seven-day rota.
- Structured training on DHÖM’s coffee, matcha, recipes and presentation standards.
- A varied role in an independent premium brunch and bistro environment.
