Supplier National Account Manager
Salary: £35,000 per year + 15% annual performance bonus (up to £40,250)
Location: North Hykeham, Lincoln
Hours: Full-time, permanent – 45 hours per week
Work location: In person
Our HQ is a short walk from Hykeham train station, making it easily accessible from Lincoln, North Hykeham, Newark and Nottingham. We also have on-site parking and subsidised EV charging.
The Role
We’re looking for an experienced account management or customer service professional to join our Procurement team as a National Account Manager.
You’ll manage around 100 key supplier accounts, including household-name brands, helping them get their used packaging reused rather than recycled.
You’ll build strong supplier relationships, deliver brilliant service and make sure each account operates efficiently and profitably.
Procurement experience is useful, but not essential.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Manage and develop relationships with around 100 key supplier accounts.
- Deliver excellent service, responding to supplier enquiries within one working day.
- Keep supplier production forecasts accurate and up to date.
- Improve supplier compliance with our packing, product and account requirements.
- Review inbound loads and work with suppliers to improve efficiency and profitability.
- Negotiate pricing, supply commitments and purchasing terms.
- Qualify and respond to new and existing supplier opportunities.
- Set up new suppliers and products accurately on our CRM.
- Help suppliers understand our mission and why reuse is better than recycling.
- Work with suppliers to collect impact stories, data and content we can share.
About You
Ideally, you’ll have 5+ years’ experience in account management, customer service, sales, procurement or a similar commercial role.
You’ll also be:
- Great at building relationships and delivering excellent customer service.
- Confident negotiating with customers or suppliers.
- Highly organised, with strong administration skills and attention to detail.
- Comfortable working to KPIs, targets and deadlines.
- Commercially minded and confident using data to solve problems.
- Proactive, ambitious and comfortable taking ownership.
- A natural problem-solver who can think on their feet.
- Someone who enjoys improving how things are done.
- Motivated by progression and the opportunity to help build something.
