A night care assistant with NVQ level 2 in Health & Social Care is required. Must have previous experience. Three nights per week to include every other weekend.
Duties include:
To carry out regular checks on the building. To carry out regular hourly or half hourly checks depending on individual cases. To answer emergency buzzers, assess and deal with the situation or call a senior member of staff. To assist residents who need help or reassurance during the night. To assist residents as directed when preparing for bed and waking in the morning. To undertake domestic duties in-between attending to residents. To undertake the same duties as day care assistants. To read and write up reports in residents case notes. To take part in staff meetings and training activities as directed. To assist with the administration of medicines and take full responsibility if appointed person in charge. To undertake any other such reasonable duties as may be required.
To undertake certain domestic duties which can be performed at night. To be in charge in the absence of senior staff.
