Lucky Paws is looking for a reliable and experienced Dog Walker & Cat Sitter to join our friendly team in Clapham.
This is a permanent three-day-a-week position working Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays.
The role includes both dog walking and cat visits. Cat visits may take place in the morning before the dog walks and again in the afternoon, depending on bookings.
Typical dog-walking hours are around 10am–3pm, with cat visits scheduled around these hours.
Earnings are approximately £250–£450 per week depending on bookings.
There is also the opportunity to earn more by taking on additional weekend cat visits, holiday cover and occasional daycare cover, if you are available.
The Role
You will be:
- Collecting dogs from clients’ homes around Clapham
- Transporting dogs safely in your own car
- Walking groups of up to 4–5 dogs at a time
- Returning dogs safely home after their walks
- Completing morning and afternoon cat visits
- Feeding cats, refreshing water and cleaning litter trays
- Monitoring the health, behaviour and wellbeing of the animals in your care
- Communicating with clients and the Lucky Paws team
- Keeping to scheduled collection and visit times
Requirements
- Your own reliable car is essential
- You must live in Clapham or within approximately a 20-minute drive
- Full UK driving licence
- Available every Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday
- Previous experience caring for animals
- Confident handling multiple dogs
- Good understanding of dog behaviour and safe handling
- Physically fit and happy working outdoors in all weather
- Reliable, punctual and able to work independently
- Friendly and professional with clients
- Willing to undergo a DBS check
Ideally, you will have held your driving licence for at least five years, as this is required under our insurance if you later provide holiday cover using one of our company vans.
We are a close-knit team with lovely long-standing clients, and you will receive proper training and support before working independently.
Reliability is absolutely essential. We need someone who can commit consistently to Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays on a long-term basis.
This is a self-employed contractor position with the opportunity for additional work and increased hours in the future.
