Overview
We are seeking a motivated Kitchen Assistant/Trainee Chef to join our dynamic culinary team. Duties
- Assist with basic food preparation and meal assembly under supervision
- Support the kitchen team with cleaning, organisation, and maintaining hygiene standards
- Help with ingredient organisation and stock replenishment
- Follow food safety protocols at all times during food handling and preparation
- Assist in serving meals to customers or guests as required
- Contribute to maintaining a clean and safe working environment in line with health and safety regulations
- Support the team during busy service periods, ensuring smooth operation of the kitchen
Skills
- Basic understanding of catering, cooking, and food preparation techniques
- Experience in a restaurant or catering environment is advantageous but not essential; training will be provided
- Knowledge of food safety standards and hygiene practices
- Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team
- Good organisational skills with attention to detail
- Willingness to learn new culinary skills and develop professionally
- Excellent communication skills and a friendly attitude towards colleagues and customers
