Bartender / Server – Bermondsey Bar and Kitchen
Bermondsey Bar and Kitchen is a busy fast paced pub and kitchen right next to London Bridge, often hosting big sporting events and live music.
We're looking for an energetic, personable, and reliable Bartender / Server to join the team. You'll be responsible for delivering excellent guest experiences, preparing and serving drinks, taking food orders, and helping maintain the standards that make BBK a venue people want to return to.
This is a hands-on hospitality role suited to someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, takes pride in great service, and wants to be part of a team building a successful local bar and restaurant.
Key Responsibilities-Guest Experience
- Deliver friendly, knowledgeable, and efficient service to all guests.
- Create a welcoming atmosphere and build relationships with regular customers.
- Take food and drink orders accurately and confidently.
- Ensure guests receive attentive service throughout their visit.
- Maintain a strong understanding of menus, drinks, events, and promotions.
Bar & Floor Service
- Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks to company standards.
- Deliver food and drinks promptly and professionally.
- Operate the EPOS system and process payments accurately.
- Run food, clear tables, reset sections, and support all areas of the venue as required.
- Confidently recommend food and drink pairings and upsell where appropriate.
Venue Standards
- Maintain excellent cleanliness and presentation standards throughout the venue.
- Complete opening, service, and closing duties to a high standard.
- Ensure tables, bars, service stations, and guest areas are always well presented.
- Carry out regular toilet checks and venue walkthroughs during service.
Stock & Operations
- Keep bars, fridges, and service stations stocked and organised.
- Assist with deliveries, stock rotation, and stock management.
- Report low stock levels, maintenance issues, and operational concerns to management.
- Support the wider team during busy services, events, and seasonal trading periods.
Compliance & Safety
- Follow all food safety, health & safety, licensing, and Challenge 25 procedures.
- Ensure responsible alcohol service at all times.
- Maintain a safe working environment for guests and colleagues.
- Complete any training required by the business.
Skills & ExperienceEssential

Desirable
- Previous experience in a pub, restaurant, or bar environment.
- Knowledge of beer, wine, spirits, and cocktails.
- Experience using EPOS systems.
- Passion for hospitality and creating memorable guest experiences.

Reporting To
General Manager, Assistant Manager, or Duty Manager.
