Purpose of Role
- To carry out various design projects including the design of new modular bathroom pods in both composite material and steel.
- Detail design of components, sub-assemblies and manufacturing information.
- Maintaining current product developments through updating relevant drawing and related project information
- Participation in the creation of new product developments using best practice methodology and design for manufacture principles.
Role Requirements
- Be competent in using Revit, AutoCAD, or similar design software in 2d and 3d
- Interpret client supplied drawings
- Produce technically accurate layout drawings for external client issue
- Produce technically accurate Trade Specific and Sub-Assembly drawings for issue to production and manufacturing
- Efficient workload management
- Ensure compliance to both company and regulatory standards
Qualification and Experience
- Degree or higher education in Mechanical, Electrical, Structural, Construction or Civil Engineering.
- City & Guilds Certificates in 2D and 3D Computer Aided Design
- Relevant Experience gained from allied industries such as Traditional Construction, Modular Building, Caravan Design and Manufacturing, Mechanical and Electrical related design and installation activities.
- Sound knowledge of engineering design principles
- Knowledge of material properties and tolerances
- A good understanding of manufacturing processes and construction methods
- Experience of a high-volume manufacturing or modular organisation
Salary to be discussed depending on experience.
Hours of Work:
- Mon-Thurs 0800-1700 (30mins Lunch Break), Friday 0800-1300
