About the Role
We are looking for a friendly, professional and highly organised Dental Receptionist / Treatment Coordinator (TCO) to join our team.
This is a varied role combining front-of-house reception responsibilities with treatment coordination, ensuring every patient receives an exceptional experience from their first enquiry through to the completion of their treatment journey.
The ideal candidate will be confident communicating with patients, have excellent organisational skills and be comfortable discussing treatment options, costs and finance arrangements in a professional and reassuring manner.
Key ResponsibilitiesReception & Patient Care
- Welcome patients warmly and provide a professional, friendly first point of contact.
- Manage incoming calls, emails and patient enquiries efficiently.
- Book, amend and confirm patient appointments.
- Manage the practice diary and help optimise appointment utilisation.
- Check patients in and out and maintain accurate patient records.
- Process payments and assist with treatment estimates and invoices.
- Handle patient queries and resolve concerns promptly and professionally.
- Maintain a clean, welcoming and professional reception environment.
- Support the wider practice team with day-to-day administrative duties.
Treatment Coordinator Responsibilities
- Act as the main point of contact for patients considering treatment.
- Discuss treatment plans with patients in a clear, informative and patient-focused manner.
- Explain treatment options, fees and available payment/finance arrangements.
- Support patients in making informed decisions about their proposed treatment.
- Follow up treatment plans and outstanding consultations to improve patient engagement and conversion.
- Coordinate appointments between patients, clinicians and other members of the dental team.
- Maintain accurate treatment records and ensure treatment plans are documented appropriately.
- Build strong, long-term relationships with patients and provide ongoing support throughout their treatment journey.
- Liaise closely with dentists, hygienists, nurses and practice management to ensure excellent patient care.
About You

- Confident using computers and practice management software.
Experience
Previous experience in dental reception, treatment coordination or a customer-facing healthcare role is highly desirable.
Experience within a private dental practice and knowledge of dental treatments and terminology would be advantageous, although training can be provided for the right candidate.
