Overview
We are seeking a reliable and skilled Semi-Skilled Labourer / Telehandler Driver to join our construction team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in operating telehandlers and assisting with various manual tasks on-site. This position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a background in construction to develop their skills further within a dynamic environment.
Responsibilities
- Operate telehandlers safely and efficiently to move materials around the construction site
- Assist with loading and unloading lorries, ensuring secure handling of goods
- Follow health and safety protocols at all times to ensure a safe working environment
- Assist with general labouring tasks, including site clearance, material organisation, and assisting tradespeople as needed
Requirements
- Experience in operating telehandlers
- Mechanical knowledge to perform basic troubleshooting and maintenance on machinery
- Good understanding of health and safety regulations relevant to construction sites
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
- Physical fitness to undertake manual labour tasks and operate machinery for extended periods
- Flexibility to work in various weather conditions and adapt to changing project requirements
- Willingness to turn your hand to whatever is needed onsite to assist the smooth running if the build.

The role is varied and will include being involved in all onsite operations so will suite someone with extensive multi skill background who enjoys a varied working day. Telehandler experience is essential and candidate must be able to drive to a high standard and be very safety conscious.
Our Chorley based development company has long run of work for a suitable applicant and all work is with the Chorley area.
Rate of pay is negotiable based on experience
Our sites operate Monday to Friday 8am to 5pm
