Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Housekeeper/Cleaner to join our team. This role involves maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene across various premises, ensuring a welcoming environment for clients and visitors. The position offers full-time employment with paid hours, suitable for individuals who take pride in their work and enjoy creating tidy, comfortable spaces. Experience in hotel or hospitality settings is advantageous, but training will be provided for the right candidate.
Duties
- Clean and sanitise all designated areas, including bedrooms, bathrooms, kitchens, and communal spaces
- Change bed linen and towels, ensuring fresh and hygienic conditions
- Sweep, mop, vacuum floors, and dust surfaces to maintain cleanliness standards
- Restock supplies such as toiletries, towels, and cleaning materials as needed
- Report any maintenance issues or damages observed during cleaning to management
- Follow health and safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment
- Maintain organised storage of cleaning supplies and equipment
- Assist with laundry duties when required to ensure all linen is clean and presentable
Experience
- Previous experience in hotel or hospitality environments is preferred but not essential; training will be provided for suitable applicants
- Janitorial experience is highly desirable and demonstrates familiarity with cleaning procedures and safety standards
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills are essential to deliver high-quality service
- Ability to work independently and efficiently within a team setting
- Good communication skills and a professional attitude are important for interacting with colleagues and clients effectively
