The Role
As our Deputy Nursery Manager, you'll work alongside the Nursery Manager to ensure the nursery runs smoothly, creating a safe, happy and inspiring environment where every child can flourish.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Supporting the day-to-day running of the nursery.
- Leading by example to deliver outstanding care and early years education.
- Coaching, mentoring and motivating the nursery team.
- Supporting staff through supervisions, training and professional development.
- Promoting the highest standards of safeguarding, health and safety.
- Building strong, positive relationships with children, parents and colleagues.
- Creating engaging learning experiences that inspire children to learn and develop.
- Assisting with nursery administration, staffing and maintaining high-quality practice.
- Working alongside the Nursery Manager to drive continuous improvement across the nursery.
About You
We're looking for someone who:
- Holds a full and relevant Level 3 Early Years qualification (or above).
- Has experience as a Senior Room Leader, Third in Charge or Deputy Manager.
- Is passionate about giving every child the very best start in life.
- Has a strong understanding of the EYFS, safeguarding and child development.
- Is confident leading, motivating and supporting a team.
- Builds excellent relationships with children, families and colleagues.
- Is organised, proactive and thrives in a busy environment.
- Brings enthusiasm, positivity and professionalism to work every day.
