Crowd First Safety Group is recruiting a professional and experienced Door Supervisor to join our team at The Bank, Westhoughton's popular cocktail and gin bar.
This is a busy, customer-focused venue with regular DJ nights, live entertainment, and a diverse clientele. We're looking for a confident, approachable professional who can provide excellent customer service while maintaining a safe and welcoming environment.
This role would suit an experienced Door Supervisor who understands that modern security is about communication, professionalism, conflict management, and customer experience—not just standing on the door.
Key Responsibilities
- Control entry and exit in line with venue policies and licensing objectives
- Conduct ID checks and manage refusals professionally and consistently
- Monitor customer behaviour and identify potential issues before they escalate
- Provide a visible and reassuring presence for customers and staff
- Support vulnerable persons and promote welfare-focused security practices
- Manage incidents calmly, professionally, and proportionately
- Work closely with venue management and emergency services when required
- Deliver outstanding customer service while maintaining venue standards
- Assist with queue management and crowd control during busy periods
Essential Requirements
- Valid SIA Door Supervisor Licence
- Minimum 2 years' experience working in bars, pubs, or licensed venues
- Excellent spoken and written English
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Confident dealing with difficult situations professionally
- Smart, reliable, and punctual
- Ability to work independently and use sound judgement
- Own transport due to late finish times
Desirable Qualifications
- ACT Awareness Certificate
- WAVE (Welfare and Vulnerability Engagement) Certificate
- Emergency First Aid at Work qualification
- Experience working in premium hospitality venues
