Are you a creative and passionate Design & Technology Teacher with a specialism in Graphics and Resistant Materials?
We are working with a welcoming and well-resourced secondary school in East London seeking an enthusiastic Graphics & Resistant Materials Teacher to join their Design Technology department from September. This is an excellent opportunity to inspire students through practical, engaging lessons while developing their creativity, design skills and technical understanding.
The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, encouraging students to develop their design thinking, problem-solving abilities and practical workshop skills.
The Role:
- Teaching Graphics and Resistant Materials across KS3 and KS4
- Planning and delivering engaging, practical lessons that challenge and inspire learners
- Supporting students to develop design, manufacturing and technical drawing skills
- Assessing, monitoring and reporting on student progress
- Creating a positive and inclusive learning environment
- Contributing to the wider success of the Design & Technology department
The Ideal Candidate:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification
- Experience teaching Graphics and/or Resistant Materials at secondary level
- Strong subject knowledge and a passion for Design Technology
- Excellent classroom management and communication skills
- Ability to motivate and engage students of all abilities
- ECTs and experienced teachers are welcome to apply
