Holy Cross Care Home is seeking Care Assistants to support our care team on a flexible, ad‑hoc basis.

About the Role
As a Care Assistant, you will work under the direction of the Nurse and wider care team to deliver care in line with best practice, legislation, and CQC Fundamental Standards. You will support residents to maintain their independence, personal interests, and relationships, ensuring their wishes and preferences remain at the heart of everything you do.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver high‑quality, person‑centred care that promotes dignity, choice, and wellbeing
- Support residents with personal care, including washing, dressing, eating, mobility, and toileting
- Follow individual care plans and risk assessments accurately
- Observe, record, and report any changes in residents’ needs or wellbeing to the Nurse or Team Leader
- Support residents to maintain relationships with family, friends, and the local community
- Promote and safeguard the welfare of residents at all times
- Maintain clear and accurate care records
- Work collaboratively with colleagues and multidisciplinary teams
- Adhere to all policies, procedures, infection control, safeguarding, and Health & Safety requirements
- Attend induction, mandatory training, and ongoing development activities
- Act as a positive role model and ambassador for Holy Cross Care Home

- Reliable and flexible, with the ability to accept shifts at short notice
- Able to communicate clearly and effectively with residents, families, and colleagues
- Committed to dignity, respect, equality, and inclusion
- Willing to learn, develop, and undertake required training
- Previous care experience or social care qualifications are desirable but not essential
