We are seeking a talented and passionate Pastry Chef to join our culinary team. Responsibilities
- Prepare, bake, and present a variety of pastries, desserts, and baked goods according to established recipes and standards
- Assist in menu development by creating innovative pastry items that align with the restaurant’s concept
- Ensure all food safety and hygiene standards are strictly adhered to during food preparation and handling
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the pastry section, including equipment and workstations
- Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure timely delivery of high-quality products
- Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and supplies, placing orders as necessary to prevent shortages
- Support the training of junior staff members in baking techniques and food safety procedures
Skills
- Proven experience in food production, food preparation, cooking, and baking within a professional kitchen environment
- Strong culinary skills with expertise in pastry arts and dessert presentation
- Knowledge of food safety standards and best practices in hygiene management
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to work efficiently under pressure
- Experience working in a restaurant or hospitality setting is highly desirable
