Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Electrician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems across various projects. Duties
- Install, test, and maintain electrical wiring, systems, and fixtures in accordance with safety standards and regulations.
- Troubleshoot electrical faults using appropriate diagnostic tools and methods.
- Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and wiring diagrams to guide installation and repair work.
- Use hand tools such as screwdrivers, pliers, wire strippers, and multimeters efficiently.
- Operate power tools including drills, saws, and other specialised equipment safely and effectively.
- Ensure all work complies with current electrical codes and safety legislation.
- Conduct routine inspections of electrical systems to identify potential issues before they develop into faults.
- Collaborate with project managers, contractors, and clients to ensure timely completion of projects.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used for each project.
Skills
- Proven experience working as an Electrician with a solid understanding of electrical systems.
- Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools essential for electrical installation and maintenance tasks.
- Strong knowledge of electrical codes, safety standards, and best practices within the industry.
- Ability to read technical drawings, schematics, and wiring diagrams accurately.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the capacity to diagnose issues efficiently.
- Good organisational skills to manage multiple tasks simultaneously while adhering to deadlines.
- Effective communication skills to liaise with team members and clients professionally.
- Valid qualification or certification in Level 3 Electrical Engineering or equivalent, AM2 is required. Ideally Electrical Test & Inspect qualification is preferred.
Pay: £18.00-£22.00 per hour
