Summary
This is a hands-on and varied role requiring someone to be practical, reliable and willing to learn. The ideal candidate will either have experience in, or be keen to develop their skills in, CNC laser cutting, SolidWorks/CAD design and general workshop duties.
The successful candidate will be expected to work across different areas of the business, including operating CNC Laser-cutting machinery, assisting with CAD/design work, preparing materials and carrying out general workshop duties. The role will also involve deliveries and collections, so a full UK driving licence is required along with customer service skills. Due to our company vehicle insurance requirements, applicants must be aged 21 or over and have held a full UK driving licence for at least 2 years.
Previous experience is advantageous, but a willingness to learn, a good work ethic and a hands-on attitude are equally important.

Requirements
- Confident and familiarity with 3D software - CAD or SolidWorks is advantageous.
- Strong problem-solving skills with a willingness to learn.
- High interest in Design and Manufacturing is a necessity.
- Good communication for effective teamwork.
- Ambition with the ability to explore problem-solving skills in a team or alone
- A proactive attitude towards gaining practical engineering experience.
- Ability to work equally alone or as part of a team, paying attention to detail and quality with a continuous improvement mindset.
- A good communicator with a positive attitude.
- Organised and able to work to deadlines
Previous experience in a manufacturing, engineering, fabrication or sheet-metal environment would be highly desirable.
