Right at Home Cardiff, Newport & Bridgend and the Vale of Glamorgan are an award-winning provider of premium quality care. We are looking for an experienced Finance Supervisor to join our growing team.
Location: Cardiff and Bridgend Office.
Hours per Week: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday & Friday 9:00am – 2:30pm, additional time to be spent working on, as and when required for role.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday & Friday 9am-2:30pm
Additional time to be spent working on, as and when required for role
All duties below to be covered for two separate companies
This is not an accounting role.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
- Liaising with and providing financial support to the Franchise Owner, Directors, Registered Managers and Area Finance Manager
- Accurately invoicing supplier invoices via the correct systems, identifying and rectifying any errors
- Providing first-class customer service at all times when representing the companies
- Reconciling accounts through Xero when required
- Checking customer accounts are correctly reflecting payments and invoices
- Working closely with the payroll team for employee payrolls
- Liaising with accountants when required on invoices and accounts
- Supporting the payroll processes preparation to send to the payroll team for both companies. Making sure all payroll information provided is accurate
- Assisting with checking all wage slips for employees across two companies and liaising with Finance manager (over 240+ employees)
- Setting up new starters, accurately recording timesheets/mileage claims to name a few, and adhering to strict deadlines in line with the accountants and payroll team
- Supporting with any wage queries and rectifying any errors across both companies
- Supporting with payroll admin tasks
- Drafting and sending professional correspondence via post and email in relation to accounts, payroll or employee letters
- Supporting with checking, processing and recording all types of payments with the accountants and on Xero
- Administering additional invoices and expenses claims received, coding items correctly and actioning payments
- Resolving any subsequent invoice queries
- Liaising with private clients and payments and following up any outstanding monies owed
- Assisting with updating Client records when necessary
- Supporting new back-office members with understanding the finance process relevant to their roles as and when required
- Develop external relationships with key stakeholders
- Developing and delivering finance training
- Answering the phone and dealing with any enquiries in a friendly and professional manner, then passing the relevant information on to the relevant person(s)
As & When Required
- Conduct reviews and evaluations for cost-reduction opportunities
- Reviewing costings/outgoings to identify potential areas of saving or cost reduction
- Any other activity/tasks as requested by line management. This job description is not exhaustive.
Qualifications and Experience:
· 1 year payroll experience
· To hold, or to be working towards, an AAT qualification (desirable but not essential)
· A working knowledge of Xero Accounting or a similar software (desirable but not essential)
· Working knowledge and understanding of invoicing processes
· Good excel document knowledge
· General office experience and sound experience of excel and other platforms
Abilities, Skills and Behaviours:
· Good attention to detail and organisation skills with the ability to multitask whilst working under pressure
· Good problem-solving skills and ability to use your own initiative whilst working as part of a solid team
· Ability to prioritise your workload whilst meeting deadlines and working to high standards at all times
· Demonstrate strong numerical skills and a good level of IT literacy – MS Word, Excel and Outlook also showcase excellent listening and writing skills
· Adapt to changing conditions and business demands
