Job Purpose
The Events & Restaurant Supervisor is responsible for the day-to-day supervision and successful delivery of events, ensuring exceptional customer service and seamless operations from planning through to execution. The role is primarily focused on coordinating and supervising events while also supporting the restaurant operation during quieter event periods or when business needs require.
Key Responsibilities
Event Operations
- Supervise the setup, execution and breakdown of all events, ensuring they are delivered to a high standard.
- Act as the main operational contact during events, liaising with clients, suppliers and internal departments.
- Coordinate event timelines and ensure all teams are fully briefed before each event.
- Allocate staff duties and monitor performance throughout events.
- Ensure all event spaces are presented to company standards.
- Resolve guest enquiries and complaints promptly and professionally.
- Monitor stock, equipment and event supplies, reporting shortages or maintenance issues.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety, licensing and food hygiene regulations.
- Support the planning and organisation of weddings, corporate events, private functions, conferences and other special occasions.
Restaurant Operations
- Supervise restaurant service during assigned shifts.
- Lead the front-of-house team to deliver outstanding customer service.
- Ensure smooth daily restaurant operations, including opening and closing procedures.
- Monitor service standards, cleanliness and presentation.
- Assist with staff training, coaching and development.
- Handle customer feedback and resolve service issues effectively.
Team Leadership
- Supervise, motivate and support front-of-house team members.
- Assist with staff rotas and labour planning.
- Conduct shift briefings and communicate daily priorities.
- Promote a positive, professional and collaborative working environment.
- Support recruitment, induction and ongoing training where required.
Administration
- Complete event paperwork, reports and shift documentation accurately.
- Assist with stock control and ordering.
- Ensure accurate cash handling and till procedures where applicable.
- Support management with operational improvements and business objectives.
Skills & Experience
- Previous supervisory experience in hospitality, preferably within events.
- Strong organisational and time management skills.
- Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong customer service focus with excellent problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of food safety, licensing and health and safety regulations.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends and bank holidays as required.

Pay: £27,000.00-£31,000.00 per year
