Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Support Worker/Care Assistant to join our team. This role involves providing high-quality care and support to individuals in care homes or within their own homes. Responsibilities
- Assisting clients with daily activities such as personal hygiene, dressing, and mobility
- Supporting individuals with their care plans to ensure personalised and effective care
- Providing companionship and emotional support to clients
- Assisting with medication management in accordance with care plans
- Maintaining accurate records of care provided and any changes in clients’ conditions
- Promoting independence whilst ensuring safety and wellbeing at all times
- Communicating effectively with clients, families, and healthcare professionals
- Supporting clients with home care tasks including meal preparation, light cleaning, and shopping as required
Requirements
- Previous experience working within a care home or providing home care is essential.
- Valid driving licence is preferred but not essential.
- Good organisational skills and the ability to follow detailed care plans accurately
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
- Basic IT skills for maintaining records and updating care plans electronically
- Compassionate nature with a genuine desire to support others’ wellbeing
- Ability to work flexibly, often on shift patterns that may include evenings or weekends if required
- Reliable, patient, and able to build trusting relationships with clients
- Arabic speaker.
