We are looking for a compassionate, experienced Night Senior Care Assistant to join our dedicated team at Croft House Care Home.
This is a key leadership role on night shifts, where you will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of care are delivered to our residents, while supporting and guiding the night care team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Administer medication safely in line with policies and procedures
- Support and oversee night care staff to ensure high-quality care delivery
- Assist residents with personal care, dignity, and comfort throughout the night
- Support residents with settling to bed and night-time routines
- Monitor resident wellbeing and respond appropriately to any changes
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date care plans and records
- Complete care plan updates and documentation using PCS
- Book in medication deliveries and manage monthly medication changeovers
- Ensure a safe, calm and supportive environment overnight
- Provide clear handovers and escalate any concerns appropriately
Requirements:
- NVQ Level 2 in Health & Social Care (essential)
- Willingness to work towards NVQ Level 3
- Previous experience in a senior care role
- Medication administration experience is essential
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Good IT skills (care planning systems)
- Passion for delivering high-quality, person-centred care
