User Researcher
Location: Salford Quays, Manchester (Hybrid, average 3 days in office)

The Role
We are seeking a User Researcher to help deliver user-centred products and services by understanding customer and user needs. Working closely with product, design, business analysis, and development teams, you'll plan and conduct research, identify user requirements, and turn insights into meaningful outcomes across a range of projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver qualitative and quantitative user research.
- Conduct interviews, workshops, usability testing, and user engagement activities.
- Create user personas and communicate user needs effectively.
- Present findings and recommendations to stakeholders and delivery teams.
- Support teams in translating research insights into product requirements.
- Ensure accessibility, inclusivity, and research ethics are embedded throughout activities.
- Contribute to user-centred design best practices across the business.
About You
- 3+ years' experience conducting user research.
- Strong understanding of qualitative and quantitative research methods.
- Experience facilitating interviews, workshops, and usability testing.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Understanding of accessibility and inclusive research practices.
- Experience working within agile product or development teams.
Desirable
- Experience with Government Digital Service (GDS) standards and agile delivery phases.
- Knowledge of GDS Service Assessments.
- Experience working with UX Designers, Business Analysts, or Business Change teams.
- Familiarity with Figma or similar UX tools.
