We are one of the UK's growing independent suppliers of commercial catering equipment, serving businesses across the UK while also exporting new and refurbished catering equipment to Spain, Belgium, the Netherlands, France and Germany.
We supply a wide range of professional catering equipment to businesses, including restaurants, takeaways, hotels and catering companies.
As our business continues to grow, we are looking for an organised, reliable and customer-focused Sales Order Administrator to join our team at our Lutterworth office.
About the Role
This is a varied role combining order processing, dispatch administration, customer service and logistics coordination.
You will be responsible for processing customer orders from our website, eBay and other online sales channels, preparing smaller orders for dispatch, coordinating pallet shipments and ensuring customers receive accurate delivery updates.
You will work closely with our warehouse team, courier partners and customers to ensure orders are processed smoothly and delivered successfully.
Full training will be provided.
Key Responsibilities
- Process customer orders received through our website, eBay and other online sales channels.
- Create shipping labels using courier company portals and dispatch systems.
- Pack and prepare smaller orders for daily dispatch.
- Coordinate with the warehouse team to ensure larger pallet orders are prepared correctly.
- Obtain delivery quotations from our transport partners and arrange pallet shipments.
- Generate pallet shipping labels and required dispatch documentation.
- Update customer orders with tracking numbers and delivery information.
- Monitor shipments with our third-party courier partners and ensure deliveries are completed successfully.
- Act as a point of contact between customers and courier companies, providing professional updates and support throughout the delivery process.
- Follow up on deliveries, assist with resolving delivery queries and coordinate with courier partners when required.
- Answer customer phone calls and respond to email enquiries in a friendly and professional manner.
- Maintain accurate order, customer and shipment records.
- Work closely with colleagues to ensure all orders are dispatched accurately and on time.
What We're Looking For
- Previous experience in administration, order processing, dispatch, e-commerce or customer service is an advantage but not essential.
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Good spoken and written English.
- Confident using computers and learning new software systems.
- Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
- A positive attitude and willingness to learn.
- Good communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Reliable, punctual and proactive.
- A full UK driving licence and access to a car are essential, as our office is not served by public transport.
