- Ensure the bar area is clean, organised, and well-stocked at all times
- Check identification to verify legal drinking age and adhere to licensing laws
- Handle cash and card transactions efficiently and accurately
- Maintain a high level of cleanliness and hygiene following food safety regulations
- Provide recommendations on drink selections to enhance guest experience
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth service during busy periods
Skills
- Proven experience in hospitality or as a bartender is preferred
- Knowledge of food safety standards and responsible alcohol service practices
- Excellent serving skills with a friendly, approachable manner
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple orders efficiently
- Basic maths skills for handling payments and change accurately
- Good time management to ensure prompt service during peak hours
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team
