Overview
We are seeking an experienced and proactive Electrical Maintenance Supervisor to lead our maintenance team. This pivotal role involves overseeing electrical systems, managing maintenance projects, and ensuring the continuous operation of plant equipment. Duties
- Supervise and coordinate daily electrical maintenance activities across the facility, ensuring adherence to safety standards and operational procedures.
- Lead and mentor a team of maintenance technicians, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.
- Oversee the installation, inspection, troubleshooting, and repair of electrical systems, including programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and industrial automation equipment.
- Interpret electrical schematics, diagrams, and technical manuals to diagnose issues and implement effective solutions.
- Manage maintenance projects from planning through execution, ensuring timely completion within budget constraints.
- Conduct regular inspections of electrical infrastructure to identify potential hazards or failures before they impact operations.
- Collaborate with other departments to coordinate maintenance schedules that minimise downtime and optimise productivity.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, maintaining accurate documentation for audits and inspections.
Qualifications
- Proven management experience within an industrial or manufacturing environment, with strong leadership skills.
- Extensive electrical experience, including working with programmable logic controllers (PLCs), schematics, and industrial control systems.
- Demonstrable project management skills with the ability to oversee multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Mechanical knowledge relevant to plant equipment maintenance is highly desirable.
- Supervising experience in a fast-paced setting is essential.
- Strong organisational skills with attention to detail in documentation and reporting.
- Excellent command of English, both written and spoken, for effective communication across teams.
- Relevant qualifications in electrical engineering or maintenance are required; recognised certifications will be advantageous.
