We are looking for self-employed mentors with a mental health specialism to support students in person at Aberystwyth University. As a Specialist Mentor (MH) you will be supporting students with mental health challenges manage their lives at university. This is a highly rewarding and impactful role that can make a huge difference to a student's life. Working with the students you will provide strategies and techniques to help them cope. Some of things that you will be supporting them with include:
* Managing feelings of overwhelm
* Motivational problems
* Procrastination
* Concentration and focus
* Difficulties adapting to independence
* Social inclusion
We are looking for individuals who have had experience working with young people with a mental health diagnosis. You will need to hold a professional body membership for this position. If you are unsure which professional body memberships are accepted, please get in touch.
