Community Support Worker

We’re looking for community support workers to work in the Yate, Bristol area, with various clients. As you will be travelling to various locations, A full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle to attend the locations on a regular is essential.
To be successful with us you’ll be naturally caring with the ability to make a difference to a client’s life experience, helping to achieve their goals and aligning with our values. Experience of providing community support on a regular basis in clients homes is required.
The role:
To assist vulnerable adults on a regular basis, supporting with independent living, to fulfil their goals and helping to shape a positive outcome in their lives. Ensuring you build a good working and trusted relationship with clients is essential to help establish a positive future and outlook on his life circumstances.
What you’ll be doing:
- Providing regular and ongoing 1:1 support between our services at a high standard that creates a trusted and supported environment.
- Support with personal care duties where required.
- Administering or collecting medication.
- Providing support within the clients homes and ensuring all areas of their home is kept clean and tidy.
- Respecting the parameters around community integration per client.
- Administer medication in their home, on a timely basis and adhering the correct medication needed.
- Ensuring you adhere to a person- centred approach with your interactions.
- Attending appointments and managing calls with advocates and other health professionals on behalf of the clients you support.
- Supporting clients with shopping and recreational visits.
- Manage their finances, personal care (prompting and carrying out), preparation of healthy meals
- Excellent communication skills to ensure tasks are completed and explained in a way the client understands.

- Ability to establish and manage client boundaries.
- Experience working with vulnerable Adults with Mental health and learning disabilities, in their home
- Ability to understand the needs of the client sand work through any contentious issues in a calm manner.
- A caring attitude and a willingness to make a difference.
- The ability to provide person-centred care whilst maintaining respect and protecting client dignity.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Full UK driving license with access to own vehicle.
