Are you the person colleagues turn to when critical systems fail, complex technical issues need solving, and innovative technology solutions are required?
If you're someone who thrives on troubleshooting complex issues, embraces new technologies and enjoys finding practical solutions, this could be the perfect role for you.
What’s the role all about?
As an ICT Advanced Technician, you'll be a senior technical specialist within the ICT team, providing advanced expertise, guidance and support across the Council's infrastructure, systems and applications. Acting as a key technical escalation point, you'll help ensure ICT services remain secure, resilient and available, while leading on the development, implementation and support of key technologies. You'll also contribute to major ICT projects, help shape technical standards and play an important role in maintaining business continuity and service reliability
What will your day look like?
No two days are the same in this role. You could be leading the resolution of a major technical incident, managing endpoint technologies such as servers, desktops, laptops and mobile devices, network switches, firewalls, supporting Active Directory and environments such as Azure and M365, implementing system updates, or testing new technologies. You'll work closely with colleagues across the organisation, provide expert advice on complex ICT issues, contribute to strategic projects and support the development of team members through training and guidance.
Who are we looking for?
We're looking for a highly skilled ICT professional with significant experience supporting and developing enterprise-level ICT environments. You'll have strong technical knowledge across areas such as infrastructure, operating systems, security, networking, applications and service management, alongside excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities. You'll be organised, adaptable and able to communicate technical information clearly to a range of audiences.
Why join us?
At North East Lincolnshire Council, you'll be part of an organisation that values people, integrity, openness and continuous improvement. You'll have the opportunity to work on meaningful projects that directly support the delivery of vital local services, while developing your skills in a forward-thinking ICT environment. We offer a collaborative workplace, opportunities for professional growth and the chance to make a genuine impact through technology that enables services to operate effectively and efficiently for our communities.
