Overview
We are looking for a competent Bid/Tender Manager who can lead and coordinate the end-to-end development of high-quality, compliant and commercially viable tender submissions. The postholder will be responsible for identifying and qualifying opportunities, interpreting procurement requirements, developing bid strategies and plans, coordinating cross-functional contributors, managing written and commercial responses, overseeing governance and quality assurance, and ensuring accurate submission within all required deadlines. The role holder will also manage clarification responses, presentations, award feedback, lessons learned and the structured handover of successful bids to mobilisation and operational teams.
The main responsibilities and duties that a successful candidate will have are as follows:
1. Opportunity identification and pipeline management.
2. Bid qualification and bid/no-bid decisions.
3. Managing end-to-end ITT, PQQ, SQ, and RFP responses for contracts up to £5m/10m/20m.
4. Bid planning and project management.
5. Bid strategy, win themes and Solution development.
6. Stakeholder and subject-matter expert management.
7. Commercial and pricing coordination.
8. Contractual, legal and compliance management.
9. Tender review, quality assurance, and Submission management.
10. Subcontractor, supply-chain and client coordination.
11. Clarifications, presentations and negotiations.
12. Award and mobilisation handover.
13. Lessons learned and continuous improvement.
14. Team and resource management.
Essential skills and competencies
A successful Bid/Tender Manager candidate is expected to posses following core skills and competencies:
- Excellent written English, editing and proofreading ability.
- Strong Construction & Project Management and organisational skills.
- Previous experience in Framework Procurement & Contract Administration.
- Budget Planning, Cost Estimation & Cross-Functional Leadership ability.
- SME Coordination, Stakeholder Management, Client Liaison & Relationship Management and influencing skills.
- Commercial awareness and basic financial literacy.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving ability.
- Ability to interpret complex specifications and contract documents.
- Strong presentation and facilitation skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, collaboration platforms and e-tendering portals.
- Skill on AutoCAD | Revit | MS Project is preferable.

Pay: £41,700.00 per year
