Overview
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Care Workers who are drivers and have access to a car to provide exceptional support and assistance to individuals in their own homes. The role involves delivering personalised care to enhance the quality of life for our clients, many of whom may be living with conditions such as dementia or Alzheimer's disease. Successful candidates will demonstrate a genuine passion for caregiving, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to maintaining dignity and independence for those in their care.
Duties
- Assist clients with daily activities such as personal hygiene, dressing, and mobility
- Support with medication administration following prescribed protocols
- Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary requirements
- Engage clients in meaningful activities to promote mental and emotional well-being
- Provide specialised care for individuals with dementia, Alzheimer's, or other cognitive impairments
- Assist with light housekeeping tasks to maintain a clean and safe environment
- Support clients with mobility and transfers, including heavy lifting when necessary
- Drive clients to appointments or social outings as required
- Monitor health status and report any concerns to healthcare professionals promptly
- Offer emotional support and companionship to reduce feelings of loneliness or isolation
Skills
- Previous experience in home care is desirable
- Driving license and access to a car required
- Knowledge of patient care techniques, including dementia and Alzheimer's care
- Strong caregiving skills with a compassionate and patient demeanour
- Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with clients, families, and healthcare teams
- Ability to manage behaviour effectively and employ behaviour management strategies when needed
- Competence in meal preparation tailored to individual dietary needs.

Pay: £13.64-£13.90 per hour
