Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Pest Control Technician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for identifying and managing pest issues in residential and commercial properties. Your expertise will help ensure a safe and pest-free environment for our clients, utilising a variety of techniques and treatments to effectively control pest populations.
Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough inspections of properties to identify pest infestations and assess the extent of the problem.
- Develop and implement effective pest management plans tailored to each client's needs.
- Apply appropriate pesticides and treatments in accordance with safety regulations and company policies.
- Educate clients on preventative measures to minimise future infestations.
- Maintain accurate records of services performed, including treatments applied and follow-up recommendations.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure high-quality service delivery and customer satisfaction.
- Stay updated on industry trends, pest behaviour, and new treatment methods through ongoing training.
Requirements
- Previous experience in pest control or a related field is advantageous but not essential; training will be provided.
- Strong attention to detail with excellent problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Good communication skills to effectively interact with clients and explain treatment plans.
- A valid driver's licence is required for travel between job sites.
- Must be physically fit, capable of lifting equipment, and working in various environmental conditions.
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations related to pest control is desirable.
- The role will include working at height to undertake bird proofing.
