The Opportunity
This Children’s Home Manager role in Manchester is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Deputy Manager ready to take the next step into registration, or an existing Registered Manager looking to join a forward-thinking, supportive organization.
You will hold overall responsibility for the day-to-day management of the home, ensuring young people receive high-quality, safe, and effective care. This service specializes in supporting children and young people with Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD) and complex behaviors, with a strong focus on driving positive outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Service Leadership: Take overall operational responsibility for the safe and effective management of the home.
- Child-Centered Care: Ensure children receive tailored, high-quality support that promotes emotional development and personal growth.
- Regulatory Compliance: Partner closely with the Responsible Individual (RI) to ensure the service consistently meets and exceeds Ofsted regulations and company standards.
- Safeguarding: Lead on all safeguarding matters, handling concerns effectively and in line with statutory policies.
- Team Management: Recruit, supervise, and develop a high-performing staff team, fostering a positive, supportive work culture.
- Operations & Budgeting: Oversee the home's daily budget, resource allocation, and continuous service improvement plans.
Requirements
- Qualifications: Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or equivalent) AND a Level 3 qualification in Children and Young People.
- Experience: Proven experience as a Deputy Manager or Registered Manager within a children’s residential care setting.
