Registered Manager – Children's Residential Home
We're looking for an experienced Registered Manager or Deputy Manager to lead our warm, experienced and locally led children's residential home in Staffordshire. This is a home where relationships come first, children are truly known, and our team is supported to make a lasting difference in young people's lives.
About the role
As our Registered Manager, you'll be responsible for:
- Leading the day-to-day operation of the home, ensuring it operates in line with relevant legislation, policies and the home's Statement of Purpose.
- Supporting and developing the team to deliver the highest standards of care.
- Overseeing assessments and care planning for young people.
- Recruiting, supervising and developing staff.
- Contributing to the home's training and development programme.
- Monitoring casework, administration and overall service quality.
- Ensuring safeguarding is embedded throughout the service and that the welfare of every young person remains the highest priority.
- Working closely with other managers to provide consistent, high quality care.
- Taking part in the on-call rota.
About you
We're looking for someone who:
- Has at least two years' management experience within the last five years in children's residential care.
- Has previously been an Ofsted Registered Manager, or is an experienced Children's Home Manager who hasn't yet completed registration, or an ambitious Deputy Manager ready to step into their first Registered Manager position.
- Holds a Level 4 or Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care and Children and Young People's Services (or an equivalent qualification).
- Is passionate about supporting children and young people who have experienced trauma, helping them to achieve positive outcomes and reach their full potential.
