This position will be supporting the Engineering Services Division in the end-to-end management of the overhaul, retrofit upgrades, spares and field scopes for Pumps & associated equipment. The division services rotating equipment across all industries within Scotland but has a focus on Oil and Gas and high-end Energy customers.
The role will work closely with the Service Centre Manager and Key Account Manager to develop reports, quotations, production plans contractual documenta and related internal documents such as price-makeups, RFQ’s, supplier enquiries & purchase orders.
This position is a key role in the Aberdeen business and will have a direct impact on the growth of the business within Scotland as a whole.
Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities:
- Manage day-to-day project activities, including scheduling, job tracking, and updating ERP (SAP) & CRM (Salesforce) systems.
- Review and prioritise workload based on customer commitments, safety, and business priorities.
- Generate accurate technical method statements & work packs for offshore interventions, ensuring compliance with gate criteria, scope, and schedules.
- Prepare accurate costings and quotations for manufacturing, repair, and service activities, ensuring submission within agreed timescales.
- Action procurement activities on order receipt and re baseline order delivery date.
- Liaise with internal teams (workshop, engineering, sales, service) and external stakeholders to resolve queries, plan resources, and progress jobs as required.
- Build strong customer relationships through regular updates, clarifying tender requirements, hosting site visits and witness events, and providing technical support when required.
- Support the Service Centre Manager in managing supply chain relationships, negotiating pricing, delivery terms, and · ensuring vendors meet quality, cost, and delivery expectations.
- Plan and coordinate workflow to meet delivery requirements while optimising facility and resource use.
- Oversee despatch of national and export goods in line with client and company standards.
- Make informed technical decisions on component refurbishments, repairs and spares supply.
- Ensure all documents and deliverables meet specifications, deadlines, and departmental KPIs.
- Actively contribute to a positive service culture by following up on commitments and supporting colleagues across departments.
Experience & Qualifications:
Essential:
- Modern Apprenticeship in Mechanical Manufacturing or Degree level (or equivalent) in a related subject (engineering, project management, business admin etc).
- Knowledge of Pumps, Pump Repair Methodologies and associated equipment
- Experience in working in a similar role/environment
- Excellent presentation and negotiating skills
- Highly numerate with excellent command of Microsoft office especially Excel, Word
Desirable
- Experience of using SAP or similar MRP system.
- Experience in Auto CAD
