Overview
Project Support Bubble provides supported accommodation for 16- and 17-year-old looked-after children and care leavers, enabling them to transition successfully into adult life. We are an Ofsted-registered provider with a track record of delivering positive outcomes for young people.
The role holder will be part of a team offering a comprehensive support service to young people, ensuring their physical, social, and emotional well-being, and developing life skills to build confidence and resilience through daily structure and routine, as well as relationship-building with the young people.
Key Role Accountabilities
- Able to engage with young people and build relationships positively and proactively. Put the Young Person and their safety at the heart of all that you do.
- Support young people in developing their independent living skills.
- Be self-motivated with a positive attitude. Act as a role model in all you do, representing the service professionally and positively.
- Be familiar with and fully compliant with Safeguarding Policy and protocols.
- Able to work a shift rota which includes evenings and weekends.
- Project Support Bubble is registered with Ofsted and able to undertake roles and responsibilities supporting Ofsted's standard requirements and key principles.
Main Duties
- Be a positive role model, nurture and show support for all young people by taking an active interest and participating in ensuring all young people’s well-being.
- Use listening and communication skills to develop positive relationships that enable young people to build and develop daily living skills, confidence and resilience to reach the overall goal of independent living.
- Be an allocated key worker for specific young person(s) and undertake weekly direct work as identified by the young person’s pathway needs assessment and pathway plan.
- Provide support to young people where required across all areas of their targets and develop SMART goals and objectives that are achievable for the individual as agreed within the pathway plan.
- Support young people in developing skills in cooking, cleaning, ironing, washing, self-care, budgeting, and developing positive relationships.
- Support young people who are not in education, employment, or training to transition into education, employment, or training activities, and connect them with available opportunities within their local area.
- Report and record all Safeguarding concerns to the line manager, following local reporting procedures and any advice and guidance provided by the Local Authority and Safeguarding Lead.
- Attend and participate in supervision and staff meetings as required.
Unaccommpanied Asylyum Seeking Children - Support Worker x 1
We need one part time support worker 20 hours a week. The work will entail working 3 -4 hours a day per week.
Support Worker x 3 Full Time
We are expanding on our homes and we would like to recruit x 3 support workers full time to support us with this new home.
Pay: £13.00-£16.00 per hour
