Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Part-Time Cleaner to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and hygiene across various commercial premises. Prior experience in janitorial or commercial cleaning is advantageous but not essential, as training will be provided. Monday to Friday mornings 0500-0800. 15 hours per week.
Duties
- Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and disinfecting surfaces in commercial spaces
- Maintain cleanliness of restrooms, kitchens, and communal areas to meet health and safety standards
- Ensure all cleaning equipment and supplies are used efficiently and stored appropriately
- Follow designated cleaning schedules and checklists to ensure all areas are maintained to a high standard
- Report any maintenance issues or hazards identified during cleaning duties to the supervisor
- Adhere to health and safety protocols at all times during the execution of duties
Requirements
- Previous experience in commercial cleaning or janitorial work is preferred but not mandatory
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
- Reliable and punctual with a professional attitude towards work
- Physical ability to perform cleaning tasks, including standing for extended periods and lifting light equipment or supplies
