An exciting opportunity has become available for a qualified Dispensing Optician to join a well-established independent optical practice in Hampshire as a Dispensing Optician Manager.
This is a hands-on management role combining clinical dispensing, team leadership and day-to-day branch operations within a patient-focused environment.
The Role
You will be responsible for:
- Delivering high-quality spectacle dispensing and patient care
- Supporting patients with frame styling, lens recommendations and fittings
- Managing adjustments, repairs and resolving patient queries
- Leading and motivating a small branch team
- Overseeing daily practice operations including rotas, stock and administration
- Supporting staff development and performance management
- Monitoring branch performance and maintaining high operational standards
- Supporting local marketing activities and practice presentation
- Ensuring compliance with GDPR, health & safety and company procedures
Requirements
To be considered, you must have:
- GOC registration as a Dispensing Optician
- Previous spectacle dispensing experience
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Good organisational and leadership abilities
- Confidence working in a busy practice environment
Management experience would be advantageous but is not essential.
