Gaming Console Technician
Smart Tech is looking for an experienced and reliable Gaming Console Technician to join our team.
We are looking for someone who has hands-on experience repairing gaming consoles and is confident diagnosing and fixing a range of hardware and software issues.
Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair gaming consoles
- Screen, HDMI port and charging port repairs
- Disc drive and optical drive repairs
- Power and motherboard fault diagnosis
- Component-level repairs where required
- Cleaning, servicing and maintenance of consoles
- Diagnose overheating and cooling issues
- Software troubleshooting and system-related faults
- Testing consoles before returning them to customers
- Maintaining a high standard of repair quality
Consoles We Work With
Experience with some or all of the following is preferred:
- PlayStation 4 / PlayStation 5
- Xbox One / Xbox Series X & S
- Nintendo Switch
- Other gaming consoles and handheld devices
The Ideal Candidate
- Previous experience repairing gaming consoles
- Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills
- Good understanding of electronics and hardware
- Able to work independently
- Good attention to detail
- Takes pride in producing high-quality repairs
- Reliable, organised and professional
- Experience with soldering and microsoldering would be a strong advantage
