Job Overview
We are looking for a Trainee Care Manager to join our care home group. Previous management experience is preferred, but no previous experience within the care sector is necessary. Full care-sector training and support will be provided.
We are looking for someone who is confident, organised, proactive and commercially minded, with experience managing people and taking responsibility for day-to-day operations.
You will work alongside experienced care teams, learning the regulatory and clinical aspects of running a care home while applying your existing management skills.
Key responsibilities:
- Supporting the day-to-day management of the home
- Leading and managing staff teams
- Managing rotas, staffing and performance
- Supporting recruitment, supervision and development
- Learning CQC requirements and care-sector compliance
- Monitoring standards, audits and action plans
- Supporting admissions and occupancy
- Dealing professionally with residents, families and external professionals
- Taking ownership of issues and ensuring actions are followed through
- Ensure home meets health and safety requirements
