Road to Logistics is recruiting learners for our fully funded Freeport East Warehouse & Logistics Skills Bootcamp, supporting people across Tendring and surrounding areas to develop the skills and confidence needed to progress into employment.
You don't need previous warehouse or logistics experience. If you're motivated, ready to learn and serious about moving into work, we want to hear from you.
The programme will give you an introduction to the warehousing and logistics industry and help you develop the practical knowledge, employability skills and confidence employers are looking for.

Warehouse operations
Health & Safety
Manual Handling
Employability skills
Managing Money for Work & Life
Mental Health Awareness
Understanding local job opportunities
CV and application support
Interview preparation
Employer engagement and progression support
Warehousing and logistics offers a wide range of career opportunities, from entry-level positions through to supervisory and management roles.
Depending on the opportunities available, roles could include:
Warehouse Operative
Picker/Packer
Goods In/Despatch Operative
Logistics Operative
Stores Operative
Distribution Centre Operative
Stock or Inventory roles
Other entry-level warehousing and logistics positions
Our team will support you to understand the opportunities available and help you progress from training towards interviews and employment.
Our aim isn't simply for you to complete a course – it's to help you move into work and build a sustainable career.
Throughout the Bootcamp, you'll receive employability and progression support and learn what local employers expect from new recruits.
You'll also have opportunities to engage with employers and develop a better understanding of the jobs and career pathways available within the sector.
This programme could be right for you if you:
Live in Tendring or the surrounding area
Are interested in working within warehousing, logistics or distribution
Are willing to complete the full training programme
Are motivated to develop new skills
Are prepared to engage with employers and attend interviews
Are committed to progressing towards employment
Are able to travel to training and potential employment opportunities
No previous warehouse or logistics experience is required.
