Overview
We are seeking an enthusiastic and customer-focused Barista to join our vibrant team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about delivering excellent service and creating a welcoming environment for all customers. This role offers an opportunity to develop specialised skills within the hospitality sector, working in a fast-paced and friendly setting. Previous experience is advantageous but not essential, as full training will be provided. All positions are paid, including internships, ensuring a professional and rewarding experience.
Duties
- Prepare and serve a variety of hot and cold beverages, including specialised coffee drinks, teas, and smoothies
- Maintain high standards of food safety and hygiene in all aspects of food and drink preparation
- Serve customers efficiently while providing friendly and attentive service
- Handle cash transactions accurately and operate the till system
- Assist with food preparation tasks such as assembling snacks or light meals when required
- Keep the work area clean, organised, and well-stocked throughout shifts
- Manage multiple orders simultaneously while maintaining quality standards
- Follow health and safety regulations diligently to ensure a safe environment for both staff and customers
Skills
- Experience as a Barista or in a similar customer service role is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided for those new to the role
- Knowledge of food safety standards and procedures
- Ability to serve customers politely and professionally in a busy environment
- Basic maths skills for handling transactions accurately
- Strong time management skills to prioritise tasks effectively during busy periods
- Excellent organisational skills to keep work areas tidy and stock levels maintained
- Good communication skills to interact positively with customers and team members
