Job description
About the Role
We are seeking a Firearms Licensing Administrator to join our professional and dedicated team. Working within a multi-disciplinary department, you will play a vital role in maintaining and quality assuring information across local and national police systems, supporting operational policing and helping ensure public safety through the effective administration of firearms licensing.
What You'll Be Doing
Processing and maintaining firearms licensing applications in line with national and local standards.
Updating, validating, and quality checking information held on police and force computer systems.
Maintaining accurate manual and electronic records to ensure data integrity and accessibility.
Acting as a key liaison between Police Officers, Firearms Enquiry Officers (FEOs), decision makers, partner agencies, and registered firearms dealers.
Responding to enquiries and correspondence, providing advice and support in accordance with established procedures.
Supporting the ongoing risk management of certificate holders to help protect communities and maintain public safety.
