We're opening an exciting new toddler room, and we're looking for an exceptional practitioner to help shape it from the very beginning.
This isn't just another nursery job. It's a chance to be part of creating a nurturing, inspiring environment where children are genuinely at the heart of every decision we make.
At Sunny Days, we are a small, independent nursery caring for just 30 children across the setting. Our new toddler room will operate at an exceptional ratio of 1 adult to every 3 children, giving you the time to build meaningful relationships, support children's individual development, and provide the high-quality care every child deserves.
We don't believe in filling rooms to capacity or simply meeting minimum standards. We believe children deserve our time, our attention and our enthusiasm.
Our Ethos
Our outdoor environment is an extension of our classroom.
Whether we're searching for bugs, mixing muddy potions, building dens, splashing in puddles or enjoying stories beneath the trees, we spend as much time outdoors as possible because we know children learn best through real experiences.
We're looking for someone who shares that belief and isn't afraid of muddy boots, fresh air and getting completely involved in children's play.
The Role
As one of our Toddler Room Practitioners, you'll help create a calm, nurturing environment where our youngest children feel safe, secure and excited to learn.
You'll:
- Build warm, trusting relationships with every child and their family.
- Plan exciting, play-based experiences that spark curiosity and imagination.
- Spend plenty of time outdoors, whatever the season.
- Support children's learning through high-quality interactions and meaningful play.
- Observe children's development and celebrate every achievement, however small.
- Help create a room that is welcoming, inspiring and filled with laughter.
- Work alongside a supportive team who genuinely enjoy learning from one another.
We're Looking For Someone Who...
- Holds a full and relevant Level 2 or Level 3 Early Years qualification.
- Has experience working in an Early Years setting.
- Is energetic, hands-on and loves getting involved in children's play.
- Has endless enthusiasm, creativity and a positive outlook.
- Believes every child deserves to be listened to, respected and encouraged.
- Enjoys working outdoors and embraces all seasons.
- Wants to be part of building something rather than simply maintaining it.
- Brings kindness, initiative and a genuine passion for Early Years education every single day.
Why Sunny Days?
Because we believe looking after our team is just as important as looking after our children.
When our practitioners feel supported, valued and happy, children receive the very best care.
At Sunny Days you'll find:
- Outstanding adult-to-child ratios (1:3 in our toddler room).
- A small, independent setting where every voice matters.
- Supportive leaders who work alongside the team.
- A culture of reflection, collaboration and continuous improvement.
- Plenty of time outdoors in our woodland, field and Forest School spaces.
- Ongoing professional development and opportunities to grow.
- A team who genuinely care about one another.
- A place where you'll leave work knowing you've made a difference.
This role is perfect for you if...
You smile when a child proudly shows you a tiny snail.
You don't mind muddy knees.
You believe cardboard boxes can become castles and sticks can become magic wands.
You know that the smallest moments often have the biggest impact.
Most importantly, you put children first in everything you do.
If you're looking for a nursery where quality comes before quantity, where your wellbeing matters, and where you'll be encouraged to laugh, learn and grow every day, we'd love to hear from you.
Apply today with your CV and a short covering letter telling us why you'd love to become part of the Sunny Days family.
